The Highland Children's Book Awards have been won by:
Picture Book: Jackie Morris for The snow leopard
8+ category: Chris Riddell for Ottoline and the yellow cat
12+ category: Pauline Francis for The raven queen
We have the first two in the Library and I've ordered The raven queen.
So pleased that The Snow Leopard was shortlisted and very excited that the book won. Had an all too brief visit to the Highlands but I am hoping to come back as everything looked so beautiful and i have been promised visits to glens where red deer and red squirrel live, and otters and wildcats.
